Helping Animals in Need

Galaxy Motors has been helping used vehicles find new owners for over 25 years, but we have great vehicles at low prices that nearly sell themselves. We recognize that our continued success is thanks to our loyal customers who choose to shop with us.

Likewise, our friends at the Victoria & Cowichan branches of the SPCA have been helping animals that are neglected, abused, abandoned, or in need of care for over 120 years. This is a great cause, and animal care does not pay for itself, so we all need to help.

Galaxy Motors has signed on as a Silver Sponsor for the 2016 BC SPCA Cruisin’ For Change rally! This is just another great way for us to say thanks to the local community and our customers.

Cruise Event Goals

Each year this event brings together businesses and individuals in support of animals in need.

• $50,000 Fundraising Goal
• Community awareness of humane treatment for animals
• Sponsored by local radio stations, including The Q 100.3 and The Zone 91.3
• Starts in Victoria and ends in Duncan for excellent coverage of our communities
• Over 100+ cruisers expected with 30+ volunteers helping to organize
• Drive is 65km total and includes entertainment, food, music, and drinks

We’ll be launching the rally in Victoria and headed to Duncan where there will be a big celebration with live music, burgers, beer, and a Show n Shine event!

Fat Daddy’s is going to be donating their time and food, Jason Buie and guests will be our band and some of the Thunder in the Valley cars will be there as well.

BC SPCA & Victoria SPCA

The BC SPCA, easily one of the largest animal welfare organizations in North America, has been our local resource for animal care and advocacy for over 120 years.

Over 45,000 distressed animals are cared for by the SPCA each year via many different services and programs.

All the funds raised by this year’s Cruisin’ for the Cure rally will go directly to the local Victoria and Cowichan SPCA branches to help support our most crucial programs and services.
